SOTC December ~ Spring Card

This is my card for our every other month swap for an awesome group of ladies on SCS--the SOTC--Sisters of the Traveling Cards!  April is our hostess for December and she posted the following:

The theme for these oh-so chilly months is a non-traditionally shaped, Spring themed card! Anything that says "Spring" to you and any shaped card but rectangle.

This was a bit of a challenge for me as I almost always make rectangle cards.  I did not want to make a "common" square card, so I used a card I got in a swap a bit ago as a template.  I am not sure what it is called, but it is fun!

Here is my card as it is opened:

Cardstock:  Gina K White; Stampin' Up So Saffron, Certainly Celery; Imaginisce Spring Stripe

Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black

Accessories—SU Certainly Celery 1/4" Grosgrain; Copic Marker

Calendar Girls Farewell

It is the 28th of the month and that is the day the Calendar Girls post.  So--I am posting, but I am also sad as this will be the last post for this group. We posted for four years and it has been a blast.  Wonderful Challenges--Great Fun--Sweet Creations--and Awesome Friendships!

We did not have a theme for this month and I am going back and choosing a favorite card from the past.  Yes, I think this group has been "Up to Snow Good" for the past four years.......................  Just kidding

Here is the inside of my card:

Here are a couple of other Christmas or Winter themed cards we have made in the past:

I am also posting the very first card I created in January of 2011 for this group:

This has been a great run the past four years.  I hope the other Calendar Girls have enjoyed the challenges every month and had fun creating the cards every month!

And, a special thanks to Jeanette for her idea in forming this group and trying to keep us in line all of these months......................

Please check out the blogs of all of the Calendar Girls—there may be some posts today about our group.  Thanks for joining us this month and for the past four years!  I will miss posting for this group!!!!!

Dueling Darlings Repost!

It is the 15thof the month and that usually means we get to show off another Dueling Darlings challenge.  However, for December, we can chose to post or not. If we post, we can make a card with any of the leftovers we have from other months.  Or, we can make a something new.  Or--we can look back at past cards and post one of our favorites.  So-option number three was my choice.

I picked a card I made in 2012, with an image I actually provided to the Divas.  Here is the original post--Winter Travel.  I really like the image and I liked how the card turned out.  I also wanted to post a winter card and all of you know Whipper Snapper winter images are so fun!!!!
On a side note--I think I have become better at editing my pictures in the past two years........................

Here is the inside of my card:

I am not sure who else is posting today, but the links are on my left sidebar.  Check out to see if any of the other Dueling Darlings posted a creation today!
