This is my card for our every other month swap for a group of ladies on SCS--the SOTC--Sisters of the Traveling Cards!  Kathleen is our hostess for October and she posted that she wanted to get a head start on Christmas Cards.  Her challenge was to use embossing somehow on the card.  I used one of the new Stampin' Up embossing folders that I really, really like!

Here is the inside:

I hope Kathleen and the others in our sisterhood like my card!

White on White Wish!

It seems like forever since I have posted a swap card--so it is probably a long tine since I have actually made a swap card to send to a SCS hostess!

This is one of the three cards I made for Sue's Swap that she is hosting on SCS.  There were three categories of colors:  WOW-White on White, Monochromatic, and POP-monochromatic with a pop of one color.  I took one spot in each and I will be posting the other two cards in the next few days.  .  This is for the White on White group.

I used a variety of embossing folders, dies and punches for the layers of the card.  I also stamped and heat embossed the word "wish" on the tag, though it is hard to see--white on white.........................

Color Challenge for Camp Stamp-in-Oga

This is the second of the two cards I made for the challenges for Camp Stamp-In-Oga, which was held yesterday.  It is always great time, with a stamp class in the morning where we make 5 cards.  Then, some of the stampers plan to stay for the rest of the day and stamp away until close to midnight.  There are raffles and prizes and great food.

This is for the color challenge. If you check back at my post from Friday, you will my card for the color challenge.  I am hoping one of the two is a winner!

I inked up the Woodlands Embossing Folder with Versamark on the "front side" and ran my vanilla piece through.  I then added copper embossing powder.  But I used a small paint brush and removed most of the powder around the trees and left it in the nooks of the branches.  I like the subtle look of the embossing.  The tag is also embossed with copper.

For the leaves, I used the baby wipe technique and re-inkers.  I really like the variety of colors on the leaves.

All Things Fall

It is the 15th of the month and that means we get to show off a new Dueling Darlings challenge. For the October Challenge, Kadie and Paola decided on the theme.  Paola is one of the Darlings and I am a part of the Diva team, which Kadie is on!

This theme this month is: "All Things Fall"  Kadie wrote the following:  This month Paola and I had trouble making up our minds because we LOVE FALL. Should we go with pumpkins or leaves or thankfulness?? So we just decided to go with it all. All Things Fall! We've each sent you a kit filled with things that remind us of this season and we hope you will have fun putting together a card that speaks Fall to YOU!

Kadie and Paola also asked our teams to please share with us something you enjoy about Fall specific to the area you live.  I love the fall colors in Wisconsin.  We have many maple and oaks in our area.  Our house is situated on a hill and we look to many trees full of color already.  We also have two smaller maple trees that are just starting to turn and they have looked stunning the past few years.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card.

Three Musketeer's Love Coffee!

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image I provided this month for Card #25!  We have finished two full years of creating and posting these fun cards--and it has been a blast! Kelly am up next for the November challenge and I am sure it will be a fun image.  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, I sent out a variety of items from a new stamp set I recently purchased--It is called Coffee Time and is by Tim Holtz and Sizzix.  It included the stamps, matching dies and an embossing folder.  I loved it!!!!  The three of us seem to chat often about coffee and 'Bux and other places, so I thought this would be a perfect set for us to use!

I sent a couple of the images and matching sentiments along with a couple of pieces of embossed cardstock.  Kelly and Jeanette can use any parts of the kit that they want--so I am sure you might see three very different cards!

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today, or it may be upcoming, so be sure to check out their blog for their card!

Our Friendship is as Strong...

This is my card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS.  Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 11th month and the theme for October is one that Terry "borrowed" from me!  I have hosted a swap on SCS a few times in the past with the theme "What Women Want" and it has been a hoot.  Women want Chocolate, Shoes, Coffee, Vacations, Love, Friendship, Exercise, etc.!  I am sure there will be some interesting cards this month!

I added a bit of Wink and Stella glitter on the top of the coffee cup and around the scallops.

I hope Terry and the others swappers like my card this month too!  I cannot wait to see what our theme is for November and that will post on the 10th.
